Starting the Final Task

          Hello, this is Darren. I’m currently 17 years old and I’m from New York. My parents are from China so my ethnicity would be Asian. I moved to Florida when I was roughly around 11 years old.
I enjoy playing soccer and volleyball since I played that sport since I was young. Although, I’m Asian, I dislike most Asian food as I grew up in a very westernized household so I didn’t each much authentic Chinese food and when I do, it didn’t appeal to my tastebuds. Both of my parents owns restaurants so that a great thing as my dad is a great chef. I’m in my junior year of high school and on my way to achieving the Cambridge Diploma, Fort Lauderdale High offers. For this project, I’m working with Madison and Ashley. I’ve known these two people for a while now and each of them are very productive in their own ways We have worked together in previous projects before so I feel confident we will do good on this one as well.

             I am very excited into making this new project as me and my group have many great ideas we came up with that we could pitch. Not only that, I’ve always wanted to make a movie so this is close to making a movie as we have to make a 2 minutes opening of a movie of our own. A pitch is a Hollywood term to describe an idea where a film is encapsulated in 25 words or less within a few sentences. My group and I came up with three creative pitches. Our first pitch is a comedy genre. In this genre, we would start the opening with 3 split screens of each of the screen of us waking up and being clumsy and we would finish the scenes with a three-way call from each other to go on a road trip. Our next pitch is is a thriller genre. In this genre, we will have the a actor running to her car as she is being chased by another person in a car as someone is following her inside a car. This will leave the audience in complete confusion as they wonder why is the girl running and who is in the car. The last pitch would be a horror genre. In this movie opening, it would off at a yard sale where a actor purchases a doll from the yard sale and later that night, the doll starts to blink and move once the family’s is asleep. Those are the three pitch ideas that my group have came up with so far.
